## What we do
Alegria Trips is a young Salvadoran travel startup run by three friends from Surf City. We take small groups on all-inclusive day trips to waterfalls, regenerative farms, cacao and coffee farms, Lake Coatepeque, Suchitoto and the Montecristo cloud forest. Every trip includes hotel pickup, transport and lunch.

## Our story
We are Rousse, Kaleb and Melissa, three friends from El Salvador. Rousse is a doctor, Kaleb is a civil engineer and Melissa studied tourism. What brings us together is surfing. It became our way of life, and the ocean taught us to flow with life's challenges the same way we ride waves.
We love El Salvador: the food, the landscapes and the people. That is why we started Alegria Trips, to share our country in an authentic way, with trips that tell stories and take you to places where nature is cared for and respected.
We believe in a more conscious planet. On every tour you will find activities that are good for your body, your soul and the Earth.

## How we work
We pick you up at your hotel, travel in small groups and take care of everything: transport, lunch and cold water on the way. You just enjoy the day.

## Tamanique Waterfalls and Organic Farm Lunch

Effort: Active. A 3-hour hike to four waterfalls. Good shoes and a swimsuit are a great idea.

Feel the cool water and the jungle around you as you hike to the four waterfalls of Tamanique with a local guide. Then slow down at the Orgánicos de Tamanique farm, where lunch is made with fresh, local and regenerative ingredients. You are back at your hotel around 2 pm.

Itinerary:
- 8:00 am: Hotel pickup in Surf City. About 30 minutes to Tamanique.
- 8:30 am: Guided hike to the 4 Waterfalls of Tamanique (3 hours).

This is a day to reconnect. In the cool mountains of Comasagua you open with a cacao circle and organic fruit, learn to grow your own microgreens, share an organic brunch and walk through every crop of Finca El Pegoste. Everything is included (transport, meals and drinks), so you will not need to spend anything extra.

A calm day made for enjoying. Start with a traditional breakfast and a light walk in Cerro Verde, with its fresh climate and big views. Then spend the afternoon at Cardedeu, on the shore of Lake Coatepeque: eat, paddle a kayak, swim or simply do nothing at all.

## Organic Cacao and Coffee Experience

Taste two of the most iconic products of El Salvador where they are born. In the morning you walk an organic cacao farm on the coast of La Libertad and taste cacao, coconut water and fresh fruit. After lunch with an ocean view, you climb to the cool mountains of the Cordillera del Bálsamo to visit Finca Montealegre, an organic coffee farm, and meet the people who grow it.

A day of history, culture and real flavor. At the Cihuatán distillery in El Paisnal you follow rum from the sugar cane field through extraction and fermentation to the tasting, and you take a bottle home. Then you head to Suchitoto, a colonial town of cobbled streets, for lunch and a slow walk through its history.

Itinerary:

In Montecristo National Park you walk among century-old trees in a cloud forest full of life, one of the best preserved natural treasures in the country.

Itinerary:
- Day 1: Leave Surf City for the mountains of western El Salvador. Short, accessible hike to a beautiful waterfall in El Limo. Traditional lunch: homemade sopa de gallina. Check in to our lodging and enjoy the cool mountain air and starry skies.
- Day 2: Breakfast. Hike into the 100-year-old forest of Montecristo National Park: cloud forest, giant trees and rich biodiversity. Drive back to Surf City.

Each trip shows an effort level: easy, moderate or active. The Tamanique waterfalls hike, the surf and yoga morning and the 2-day El Limo and Montecristo trip are the most active. If you have any mobility needs, ask us before you book.

### Is it safe?
Your safety comes first. We travel in our own van with small groups, we know every place we visit, and we always carry a first-aid kit.
